Sunday 5th July 2009 - Angmering Raceway

It turned out a great day for motorcycling. After a beautiful ride out and dodging the rain (and the 'Festival of Speed' traffic), a hearty breakfast at Loomies, I made my way to the Angmering Raceway; and what a great afternoon I had watching Kieron (#71) do his stuff; not forgetting a big thank you to Phil - Mr Sponsor.

Push man! Push! ................................and we're off!..................................and up near the front.

Soon, he was in the lead............................................and then even more in the lead!

The chequered flag in sight..............................................................Well done Kieron!
Also...................the mini-motos were great fun to watch; classes from grown men (well, big boys then) to tiny tots!

Thanks again to all involved for a great days racing - and all FREE to spectate!

Here is a resume from Phil detailing the current championship position:

We are running in two championships, the Angmering club Championship and the Sussex Open Championship.
When Kieron and I first linked up he was over 100 points behind the leader in the Amgmering and no rounds of the Sussex Open had yet been run.
As at today we lead the Sussex Open (it is a 3 round series and we have won the first two rounds). The final round is on the 30th August (at Angmering) and with a bit of luck we should win that Championship.
Following the win last Sunday in the Angmering Chmapionship we have for the first time this year overcome that 100+ point deficit and are now 3 points ahead with 4 more rounds to go. That one is going to be very tight but it is now ours to lose. The next round is on August 2nd.
Next season we are running a full British Campaign and will be travelling all over the country (as far a field as Cumbria). Kieron has entered one British round this year to get a taste of how he would do and he...........................................................won it : )
You are of course very welcome to come to any of the meetings that you can get to (and get your hands dirty if you wish

So, when the next R.A.T. run visit is scheduled, lets have some support from the R.A.T. Club!!!!!!
