Sammy Miller & Fish'n'Chip Run - July 15th

Boy were we lucky with the weather?

Storms all around but the sun shone on the brave! And brave we were to circum-navigate half of Sussex and Hampshire taking in some great lane riding over the one hundred and seven miles to the Museum. We (I, actually) only got lost twice when our road merged into suburbian mediocrity in Petersfield and then the one-way historical spiral of Romsey.

Talking of going in circles - how about this rotary? >>>>>>>

PIERREFONDS (Run to Reims) June 24th 2007

Eighteen intrepid riders set out on a warm Sunday morning ~ hang on, warm? whats going on? Following Jacque and his 'directions de papier'. First stop [ok, only stop] was this little market in the village of Marigny en Orxois with an exquisite hall/granary dating from XVII century.

[Kathryn, Jacko, Peter, Frank]

Some fruit and buns were purchased, but I am sure that Thomas was eying up a chicken for dinner!
[Colin, Andy, Kathryn & Thomas]

We eventually got to Pierrefonds. Billy thought this was a shop selling girls in large brassieres, sorry mate, you'll have to settle for coffee and cake!
[Chrissie, Peter, Billy & Kenny]

So, coffee and cake it was, with maybe some alchohol to take away the numb bum!

Some went up to the Chateau....

<....and some contemplated ice cream

and some had ice cream......>

Some felt a bit chilly.....>

<.......Some went exploring

And some wrote a postcard home........................................>

The End..........of Sunday afternoon, time to go back to Reims ~ the quick way!.
